French Louis XVI style marble-top mahogany commode, late 19th c., three drawers framed by fluted corner posts, on tapering legs, restoration to back left leg and front corner of top, approx 34.75"h, 43"w, 22.75"d Start Price: $500.00
Condition
1.15.24-In my opinion regarding LOT: 1627- the commode is in sturdy condition,as mentioned the rear leg is with repair, the marble top has some small areas of fill, light abrasions, spotting and typical small chips along edges, the top is intact with a repair to right corner, please pardon my images, the wood is quite reflective, any white you see in my photos is not a defect in the case, but a glare, the wood exhibits typical and minor wood wear, light surface wear, and some nicks to case, there is some paint splatter, all as commensurate with age and use, I am unable to fully view the sides, please refer to online images, front and back for a photo of both sides, there is nothing apparent from the view that I have, drawers slide well and interiors show only light wear/use, please see attached image
