- Lot Description
French Louis XV style mahogany armoire, early 20th c., gilt bronze rocaille crest with quiver of arrows, pair of cabinet doors faced with shaped and beveled mirror plates, enclosing interior finished in bird's eye maple veneers, hanging rod, shelves, and two short drawers, on cast foliate scroll sabots, approx 97.5"h, 55.5"w, 22"d **Note: matching bed offered in this auction**
Condition
1.16.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 3201-The structure stands sturdy, bronze mounts are intact and present throughout appearing securely attached, I note some light patination and spotting, mounts are detailed with lower mount showing cattails and stylized shells, wood shows only some light tonal variation, light surface wear/mars, and small nicks, both mirrors are beveled, the left mirror plate shows some scattered spotting in both upper quadrant and lower left quadrants, see images, right door shows some small imperfections with a less than pin point ding and tiny spots, too small to photo, minute ding and small spots too insignificant to be caught by camera, the birds eye maple interior is fine with sturdy shelves, and an added hanging bar, lower drawers slide well, each retains a key that operates the locks, the right inner door has a slim loss to birdseye veneer at lock plate and one at lower door, see image, and at lower door, this does not not affect the exterior view, all mentioned minor and commensurate with age and use
