- Lot Description
French Louis Philippe period figured walnut commode, mid 19th c., having marble top, over four drawers, rising on bracket feet, approx 37.25"h, 51"w, 23.5"d
Condition
1.22.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 1435-the commode stands sturdy, the marble top is intact with only some noted slight typical roughness/chipping along the natural rough back edge and sides, there are some surface abrasions and minor spots, the top drawer is a bit tight and would likely benefit from a good waxing to facilitate smoother movement, the lower drawers slide with ease, drawer bottoms exhibit some spotting, the case displays tonal variation, small nicks, spotting and minor wood wear overall, the right side panel is intact with a typical stable split, both display seams, all mentioned commensurate with age and use
