French Louis Philippe period burl walnut commode, mid 19th c., having shaped marble-top, over frieze drawer, with three additional drawers, ending on ogee bracket feet, approx 39 3/8"h, 51.5"w, 23 5/8"d
Condition
4.12.24-In my opinion regarding LOT: 2023-The marble top is intact with the typical rough back edge, some surface wear and abrasions, and a ring at right side, the case is beautifully figured, I note some light wood wear, rubs, tonal variation, drawers slide well, the piece is accompanied by a key, however the key does not operate the locks, it does assist with opening drawers, I am unable to view the right side panel, please refer to online images, all mentioned commensurate with the age and use of the piece
