French Henri II style carved oak server, mid 19th c., having protruding stag's head crest, with lift-top concealing marble work surface, over two drawers, above spiral columns, joined by lower shelf, rising on tapered feet, restoration and some typical small losses to crest, loss to right drawer pull, approx 72.75"h, 42"w, 19.75"d
Condition
07.09.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 4349: As described there are multiple visible glue restorations of varying degrees and typical minor losses to the crest, as well as the handle on the right side drawer, I note that the server is presently intact and structurally secure, with several minor splits near the drawers, which all operate smoothly, the scrolled support on the right side of medial surface appears to have a lightly reinforced split, the lower shelf are secure, the bottom shelf half a horizontal split but remaining intact, I observe typical minor surface wear such as light abrasions and sparse, small chips along corner edges and front edges of shelves commensurate with age and use
