Gilt painted four-poster/ tester king-size canopy bed, 20th c., having scalloped cornice custom upholstered in Pindler & Pindler "Felicity" embroidered silk, rising on fluted columnar supports, shaped headboard with ruched padded border, flanked on each side by adjustable sconce with faux candle, rising on bun feet, accompanied by (four) gathered curtains in matched upholstery with tassel trim, (two) curtains in peach upholstery, and (one) ruffled apron, sconces with US wiring, however operational status unknown, some staining to upholstery at lower edge, exterior: approx 117"h, 86.5"l, 82"w, interior: approx 84"l, 80"w, largest curtain panel: approx 108"h, 98"w, smallest curtain panel: approx 108"h, 48"w, curtain apron: approx 15"h, 368"w **Provenance: From the Byram Family's Above Stratford Mansion. John Byram, a prominent Austin-based real estate developer, and his late wife Sally Byram curated this French Provincial style estate with the help of notable architects and interior designers. The home has remained untouched since Sally's untimely passing in 2006, serving as a testament to her taste for sophistication and craftsmanship** **PLEASE NOTE: All of the accompanying bed textiles in this auction would likely benefit from a professional cleaning. Though we do not currently observe any major tears or losses, most are likely to have some staining, missing trim, and evidence of wear.
