Framed Chinese School ink and color painting on paper, Portraits of Five Ancestors, five male figures, each depicted seated and wearing formal robes, four in blue surcoats with rank badges, one in an Imperial yellow surcoat bearing characters, a table screen to his left with calligraphic inscription, mounted with silk textile border, paper: approx 61"h, 36.5"w, sight: 66.75"h, 42"w, overall: 69"h, 44.25"w, 28.5lbs

09.25.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1269: I note that the painting is presently intact, the paper retains sharp edges, and having a minor tear to the left of uppermost ancestor, the edges of paper exhibit typical minor creasing, spotting/ foxing, and some small stains commensurate with age, I observe some typical minor flaked losses and fading to the pigment, mostly contained within the robes worn by each figure
