9.14.23-In my opinion regarding LOT: 1689-The box is sturdy and intact, reverse painted panel appears free of any apparent chips or cracks, there is some overall wear and loss to paint and the decorated surface, I have taken close-up images for your review, the front panel lifts up and is removable interior lid has a floral decorated paper liner with some tears and loss, the interior has a metal frame on three sides and top, the top and outer lid are decorated with foliates and figures, the top is slightly bowed or bent, there is a glass panel at the front, retaining a tag, please see image. the interior liner is fitted with two lids, the inner with blue bead finial, the lacquered wood case shows some stable lines/splits, bubbling, small losses, and wear throughout as pictured, commensurate with age and use, the interior retains remnants of tea leaves
