British Line Gun, marked at the left frame "Schermuly's Patent No 503324", the underside of the barrel lug marked "R604", the left side of the ejector marked "558", the right barrel marked "P", the right fame with "crown over IS over 429 over broad arrow over P", the lower right frame marked "4558", the wood and brass handle affixed to the 11.75"l steel barrel is marked "Made in England and GNTD Correct on either side of an operating bubble level", the left butt frame under the wood grips is marked "R604", the right side under the grips is marked "X" and "7", the underside of the wood grips are pencil marked "455", brass with light scratching and overall good, lanyard ring, the hammer does not remain set when pulled back, could not observe action, for shipping 8.5" x 16" x 2", 3.70lbs (245) *Provenance: Collection of Billy Wayne Dickey, USN, (Texas, 1936-2022)
