01.05.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 699: As described the sculpture is lacking one butterfly at the right side edge leaving a visible exposed peg, I note a minute split to the right side panel, and another to the back panel, the cocoon appears to hang securely from fixture, and I observe overall notable pigment retention and vibrance, with minor wear to the Virgin’s face, and some like surface wear concentrated at the corners of the case, additionally I observe visible glue repairs to two of the butterfly wings<br><br>Detailed condition reports are not included in this catalog.
