(lot of 5) Italian Chiavari side chairs, 20th c., stained beechwood frame, spindled back, woven rattan seat, on outswept legs, approx 37"h, 16.5"w, 16.5"d, seat height: approx 18.25"h
Condition
3.10.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 2119-The overall group of chairs are in sturdy condition, as typical of this type of chair, they are light in weight, all are sturdy with tight joints, woven seats display some tonal variation, see images, I note some slight imperfections such as picks, rubs, small losses and glue reinforcement to strands at underside, all typical and minor, no major holes or loss to seats observed, they are sturdy and securely attached, frames exhibit some light wood wear, one upright spindle has small wood losses to two turned edges, see images, otherwise I note only typical light wood wear, small wear/losses at center crests, some adhesive residue at reinforced joints, minor finish rubs and surface wear, all as commensurate with age and use
