(lot of 3) American art pottery vases, Van Briggle Pottery, including: (1) vase, c.1914, shape number 218, matte brown glaze, relief-molded poppy flowers and pods,two stable faint hairlines, approx 7.75"h, (1) vase, matte brown to green glaze, base with band of stylized leaves, approx 5"h, together with (1) sterling silver on bronze vase, Heintz Art Metal Shop, mottled brown patina, silver overlay of pussywillows, shape number 3585 G, approx 3.75"h, 2.75"diam; 2.5lbs total
1.8.25- LOT – 1152-a UV examination to the small and medium-sized vases is unremarkable, the group exhibit some faint crazing and light wear commensurate with age
1. the smallest vase is overall intact, there is only some minor, slight spotting, and wear underfoot as pictured
2. the the medium-sized vase is intact with no noted chips or cracks, the interior shows some white residue, see images, there is light wear underfoot, see images
3. a UV light examination of the largest piece reveals two stable very faint hairlines, each extending from neck to mid-body, they are not readily visible to the naked eye, I further a few small spots of inherent pitting to the interior, light spotting, and light crazing, there is a spot underfoot, however, this does not appear to be a chip but variation in color
