(lot of 2) American pocket watches, Waltham Watch Company, Massachusetts, including: (1) 14kt gold-filled cased "Riverside" pocket watch, white enamel dial, Arabic numeral hour markers, second hand subdial, seventeen-jewel Damaskeen movement, movement serial number 10513635, Keystone Case Company engraved case, case serial number 7298839, accompanied by chain, observed operating for fifteen minutes, case: approx 50 mm, 101 grams (inclusive of all materials), (1) Silverode cased pocket watch, white enamel dial, Roman numeral hour markers, second hand subdial, seventeen-jewel Damaskeen movement, movement serial number 15204216, Philadelphia Watch Case Company nickel alloy case, case serial number 649349, hairline to dial crystal, not currently operational, case: approx 55 mm, 117 grams (inclusive of all materials) **NOTE: ALL JEWELRY & COIN LOTS REALIZING OVER $1,000 MUST BE PAID BY BANK WIRE**

In my opinion regarding:
LOT – 1284
As mentioned in the catalog description, there is a visible hairline extending approximately from the 10:00 position to the 3:00 position. I note some typical overall surface wear commensurate with use, including small abrasions to the cases and dial covers, rubbing, and patination to the metal. As with all of the used watches in this auction, these pieces would likely benefit from a thorough cleaning.The movement on the Waltham Riverside watch was observed operating for 15 minutes.
The movement on the watch with the Waltham Silverrode case appears fully wound and the balance wheel is good. It starts and stops almost immediately and is possibly in need of a professional cleaning and adjustment.
