- Lot Description
(pair) Louis XVI style armchairs, late 20th c., parcel gilt frames, square back and seat in silk upholstery, on tapering fluted legs, approx 39.5"h, 31.5"w, 25"d, seat height: approx 17"h **Provenance: from an estate at Residence Metropole, Monte-Carlo, Monaco**

03.19.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1267: I note that both chairs are presently intact and structurally sturdy, the upholstery is tautly bound to the frame, both exhibit minute staining to the seat cushioning, one having a minor tear with frayed threads to the central upper left side of the seat back, the other chair with similar caliber minor tear to one of the padded arms, the tone and slight luster of the silk remain vibrant, with some pieces of the applique trim around upholstery having minor loose threads, I observe sparse, minor surface wear to the frame, mostly contained to the crest rail, such as light abrasions and chips
