(pair) Cut glass vases with bronze dore mounts, approx 16"h, 12"w, 8"d; 24lbs total
Condition
03.19.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1329: I note that both vases are presently intact and structurally sturdy, with the ormolu appearing securely fastened to the glass, the collars are ill-fitting to the rim of the vases with a visible gap and adhesive from joinery, there is patination and minor pitting to the ormolu, as well as a couple minor nicks to the rim commensurate with use, some parts of the base appear to have gilt paint touch ups, and one vase has a mismatched bolt securing the metal at the lower body, the glass is overall well-preserved and I do not currently observe fractures or chips, contours of the cut patterning remains smooth throughout glass exterior
