- Lot Description
(pair) Large marble-veneered pedestals/ columns, 20th c., square top, slightly tapered stem, on a stepped plinth, approx 42.25"h, 14"w, 14"d
Condition
2.19.25- In my opinion regarding: LOT 2337: I note that the pedestals are presently intact, structurally secure, and standing sturdy, with inherent natural inclusions, fissures, and variations of the marble, one pedestal having a minor glue restoration with chipped loss near one corner of the display top, and chipping to a couple of the lower corners of base, this pedestal also having scattered professional fills that are matte green in appearance (see images), the other pedestal having a lesser degree of these minor fills, which appear to be contained to inherent seams created by the piecing together of the marble veneer and are gray in appearance (see images), both pedestals having a small number of scattered minor chips and nicks commensurate with use
