(pair) French Transitional style marble-top commodes, with marquetry inlay basket of flowers, bronze dore mounts, both marble tops with professional restorations, approx 34"h, 38.5"w, 18.5"d
Condition
05.28.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 4294: As described both marble tops are intact with multiple professional restorations such as reinforcements of hairlines and one with an area of fill along the front edge, please note that the commodes are a near pair, with slightly varied tones of the wood and of the marble tops, one being slightly taller than the other, both exhibit typical veneer chips commensurate with age and use concentrated along trim and edges of drawers, one commode has fills to these areas of chipping while the other does not, the commode without veneer chip fills has areas of the apron that are minorly splitting with light lifting
