- Lot Description
(pair) French Art Deco style leather club chairs, 20th c., having shaped back, over rolled arms, rising on squared wood supports, wear to leather and discoloration, approx 32"h, 32.75"w, 37.5"d, seat height: approx 17 3/8"h
Condition
04.05.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 1117: As described the leather displays wear and discoloration/ fading, I note that both chairs are presently intact and structurally sturdy, there are vary degrees of peeling, particularly to the arms, as well as staining and spotting, and typical creasing, tonal variation throughout the leather, which appears securely bound to the underlying frame, I observe patination of the nailhead trim, and there is a visible translucent white coating applied to the front of the arms and the lower edge (unsure what the coating is, likely a leather protectant of some kind) which has visible brush strokes from application, I did not notice any odor from the chairs, and I note typical surface wear such as abrasions and scuffs commensurate with age and use
