(lot of 2) Russian lacquered and painted papier-mache items, including: (1) table box, signed lower right V. Kurilov (Palekh, 20th c.), dated 1995, the lid depicting a scene from "The Tale of Tsar Saltan," showing king and queen flanked by figural procession, foreground with sailing ships at sea, black ground with parcel gilt accents, red lacquered interior, small areas of loss to lacquer at exterior edges and top right corner of lid, approx 1.5"h, 9"w, 7"d; (1) wall-hanging panel, signed Yu Plekhanov (20th c.), dated 1978 and inscribed 1060 USSR, depicting fairy tale scene of three figures in horse-drawn chariot, black ground with parcel gilt trim and scrolled motifs, approx 7.75"h, 11.75"w; 3lbs total
