(pair) French Louis XVI style side tables, in the manner of Jean-Henri Riesener (French, 1734-1806), early 20th c., banded top with parquetry diamond pattern, ormolu-mounted frieze with Bacchic putti, single drawer, on tapering square legs, approx 28.25"h, 24.25"w, 24.25"d **Provenance: the contents of the prominent San Antonio Holt Family's Terrell Hills home**

10.4.24: In my opinion regarding LOT 3232: I note that both tables are presently intact and structurally sturdy, the ormolu being securely mounted to the veneer throughout, with a few missing screws along segments of trim (not interfering with their fastening to table), with some areas of very light spotting, a couple spots of trim with some minute pitting, and some mellowing/ rubs to the dore finish along the foliate elements, overall tone of the ormolu remains vibrant, I observe a few minute losses to ormolu at the small segment of garland at the upper portion of the foliate mounts placed at the top of each leg, some having a small seam at joinery of mount but remaining secure, the parquetry inlay on the tabletops is remarkably well-preserved, one table having a minute professional filled restoration near the central plane, both tables having a couple minute splits to the veneer at the legs with professional reinforcement, a few of the seams of corner post and apron appear to have professional reinforcement to resolve some typical slight separation, reinforcement is well-concealed, I observe a small number of minute veneer chips, such as along the edge of lower leg, and a few light nicks to the tabletop trim, this minor surface wear is typical and commensurate with age and light use, I am not an expert on such furniture so have taken multiple high-resolution images for your review**Provenance: the contents of the prominent San Antonio Holt Family's Terrell Hills home**
