(pair) Czech Art Deco glass and gilt bronze fruit basket table lamps, c.1930s, each having faceted polychrome and colorless glass fruit cluster on a wire frame, over bronze basket concealing beaded interior shade, rising on circular marble base, observed operating for five minutes, both with typical small chips and losses to glass fruit, approx 17.5"h, 13"diam, 100lbs total **Provenance: From the Byram Family's Above Stratford Mansion. John Byram, a prominent Austin-based real estate developer, and his late wife Sally Byram curated this French Provincial style estate with the help of notable architects and interior designers. The home has remained untouched since Sally's untimely passing in 2006, serving as a testament to her taste for sophistication and craftsmanship**
Condition
CR 3.24.25-In my opinion regarding LOT: 2139-The pair are impressive in size and weight, in my 30 years of doing this, I have never seen a pair so large, the fruits and leaves to each are abundant, as described, there are some typical small chips and roughness, losses, and likely some missing pieces, some may have been re-attached reattached, as wires vary, however, again they’re abundant, beaded interior held within the exterior metal basket shows some missing beads, sparse and mostly apparent only from the interior when top is removed, metal basket exhibits scattered Verde patination, light rubs and mellowing, stepped marble bases are overall intact with some typical minute roughness/ tiny chips, as described, the pair were observed operating, there are four light sockets to interior, that exhibit age, if the pair are planned for daily use, it may be best to update sockets and wiring, overall all mentioned typical and minor, no major loss or restoration observed
