Springfield Percussion Rifle Musket, Model 1863, Type II, .58 caliber, 40" round barrel, short blade front sight, tulip head ramrod, three barrel bands, adjustable rear sight, eagle on nipple bolster above the lockplate marked with "eagle, U.S. Springfield, 1864", inspection mark in front of trigger guard, eft barrel flat marked with "V P eagle head", left stock opposite the hammer with an owner initials "AR", buttplate tang marked "U.S", metal brown, wood with dents and scratches, action good, bore with light surface rust,
