Persian Oil On Canvas Of Great Cyrus's Wife ' Cassandane ' Signed By Hojat Shakiba. Frame: 47 1/2" x 33" \ Canvas: 39" x 25". Hojat Shakiba is one of the leading contemporary Persian miniature painters. He studied art in the College of Fine Arts at the Tehran University. Some of his exhibitions were held in Museum of Contemporary Arts at Iran, Basel International at Switzerland, and Christies Gallery of London, England at UK. Cassandane or Cassandana (died 538 BC) was an Achaemenian Persian Shahbanu consort and the "dearly loved" wife of Cyrus the Great.
