- Lot Description
This set comprises five finely crafted porcelain plates by Hutschenreuther, a renowned German manufacturer, established in 1814. Each plate features a raised medallion motif at the center, with intricate embossing and precision detailing. The central designs include classical and historical themes, varying across the set. The edges are accentuated with a silver or gold trim (four plates with silver and one with gold), adding a sophisticated contrast against the pristine white porcelain base. The back of each plate is marked with the Hutschenreuther logo, alongside the inscription "Münchener Rück Munich Re," underscoring the plates' exclusive and possibly commemorative production origins.
Condition
The plates are in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or crazing. The silver and gold trims are intact, showing minimal wear consistent with light handling or display. The embossed designs remain sharp and well-preserved. The back stamps are clear, with no signs of fading. Minor surface scuffs on the plates' base rims are noted, likely due to shelf contact.
