This is a beautifully crafted patinated statue of Guanyin, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, depicted seated in a meditative pose on a lotus base. Guanyin is holding a small vase or vessel in one hand, a common attribute associated with the figure. The statue is mounted on a lotus pedestal, which is finely detailed, complementing the flowing lines of Guanyin's robes.
