Pair of 19th century Japanese Imari plates, richly decorated with vibrant hand-painted motifs typical in the Imari style. Each plate features a central floral design surrounded by alternating panels of stylized flowers, birds, and intricate patterns in red, blue, gold, and green hues. The plates are marked on the bottom with a Chinese Chenghua mark, not of period, probably Arita.
