This framed artwork a 19th century maritime print, depicting Perry's victory on Lake Erie, 1815. Published, October 14, 1814 and engraved by Benjamin Tanner (1775 -1848) after a painting by John James Barralet (1747 - 1815). The artwork showcases multiple sailing ships engaged in battle, rendered in black and white, with detailed rigging and maritime elements. Below the image is a title or inscription that may identify the scene, though the text is partially obscured.
The print is set in a gold-painted wooden frame with a classic design. The frame shows signs of wear, including small chips and cracking along the joints, which adds to its vintage appeal.
