This is an 18th century Daniel Popkins sterling silver teapot featuring a beautifully engraved design across its body. The engraving consists of delicate scrollwork and a central wreath motif containing an engraved monogram. The teapot has a wooden handle and bone finial, contrasting nicely with the polished silver surface. The spout is long and elegantly tapered, contributing to the teapot’s overall refined appearance. The lid is hinged and fits securely, with the handle providing a comfortable grip. The base is stamped with hallmarks indicating the maker, silver content and date (1798). The teapot shows excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail, indicative of a piece from the late 18th century.
