  Black recumbent cat, oil on canvas, signed lower left corner, framed in wooden frame with applied finish and gilt highlight, overall 22-5/8" x 30-5/8". Provenance: acquired as a gift through the friendship with the artist; Estate of Dr. Ye Yong Chun (Korean, 1910-1994), who served in the South Korean government, notably as Head of Civil Affairs in the Ministry of Education in 1944, Minister in Office of Governor-General of Korea, Vice Governor and Governor of Bank of Korea (1951-1961), Minister of Construction from (1964-1966), Chairman of Korean Branch of International LiONS Club, Chair of Korean International Law Association and Deputy Chair of Democratic-Republican Party; brought to the USA in the early 1980s by descent in the family, thence to current owner.
