• Lot Description
  12 karat yellow gold. It highlights a hand painted portrait on porcelain of a maiden with pink flowers in her hair. The portrait measures 1/2 of an inch long and 3/8 of an inch wide. It is set in a twisted wire bezel surrounded by coils of gold and accented with gold bead work and "leaves". There is a large golden flower on the top containing a ruby. At the base of the portrait there is an emerald which leads to a length of coil and bead work which served as a clip of some sort. At some point in time the piece was converted into a brooch by way of the addition of a straight pin stem and locking hook clasp. The piece weighs 9.3 grams.
