• Lot Description
  "Yui, Satta Pass" (Satta-tōge Yui no Ura), from The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō (Tōkaidō Gojūsan-tsugi no Uchi). Published by Hoeidō, circa 1833–1834 A fine impression from Hiroshige’s celebrated Hoeidō Tōkaidō series, depicting the dramatic view from Satta Pass near Yui Station. The composition showcases sailing vessels below rugged cliffs, with Mount Fuji in the distance, demonstrating Hiroshige’s mastery of landscape and atmospheric perspective. The print bears the artist’s signature, "Hiroshige ga," and the publisher’s seal of Hoeidō. The quality of the impression, coloring, and presence of the publisher’s seal suggest this may be a later reprint. Unframed.
