• Lot Description
  Consisting of three celadon porcelain vases with cranes, floral and willow designs, bulbous octagonal shape bottle vase with long faceted tapered neck, 12-3/8" x 4-7/8", on wood stand, 1-3/8" x 5-1/2"; meiping vase, 10-3/4" x 6", on wood stand, 1-3/4" x 8"; and baluster vase with flared neck, 11-3/8" x 5-3/8", on wood stand, 1-1/2" x 5-3/4". Each vase signed on the bottom. Provenance: Estate of Dr. Ye Yong Chun (Korean, 1910-1994), who served in the South Korean government, notably as Head of Civil Affairs in the Ministry of Education in 1944, Minister in Office of Governor-General of Korea, Vice Governor and Governor of Bank of Korea (1951-1961), Minister of Construction from (1964-1966), Chairman of Korean Branch of International LiONS Club, Chair of Korean International Law Association and Deputy Chair of Democratic-Republican Party; by descent in the family to current owner.
