• Lot Description
  Woodblock print in colors, signed in the lower left corner, matted and framed under glazing in clean lines wood frame, overall 15-7/8" x 12-3/4". Old paper label from Hanlon Gallery attached on the back: "On a warm summer night, a couple have been awoken by the sound of a rat which the husband has managed to trap. Possibly a calendar print for the year of the Rat i.e. 1804. RARE." Provenance: private collection, Pittsburgh, PA; acquired from Hanlon gallery, Fine Japanese Prints & Paintings / Chinese Fine Art, Hong Kong.
