  Platinum Russian Empire Nicholas I rare "3 rubles" platinum 1843 coin, framed in 14k white gold bezel with bail, apprx. 1-3/8" x 15/16" with bail; overall weight 13.7 gm. Reads: "3 рубля на серебро 2 зол. 41 дол. чистой уральской платины 1843 г. С.П.Б. (3 roubles on silver 2 zolotnika 41 dolya of pure Ural platinum 1843 S.P.B.). Provenance: private collection, Pittsburgh, PA; brought to the USA in late 19th century.
