• Lot Description
  Chase at Twilight. Oil on canvas depicting horse-drawn sleigh with driver and a Russian man chased by wolves in winter landscape, signed and dated 1888 in lower right corner, framed in large carved gilt wood frame. After an event described in Willa Cather's "My Antonia".

  Condition

  Good; original canvas trimmed and relined, some craquelure with inpainting, surface soils and dust; some ongoing losses and wear to frame with prior repairs. Loose in frame.
