Frustum of a cone shaped translucent crystal glass shade, featuring blown out flowers, scrolls and hummingbird, no signature found. Reverse painted in details. A gold gilt spelter base, being a footed square, with a rising tapered column center, topped with a tapering spindle, providing the foundation for the four support arms, set at ninety degrees to each other. Nice period pull chain sockets. Stamped Pairpoint in base with number B3037, as well as original paper inspection sticker. Some areas of the shade may have been repainted. Provenance: one-family old private collection Pittsburgh, PA, since early 1900's, by descent in the family to the current owner.
Condition
Very good gilding, nice shade, both sockets function. Best to use low wattage bulbs for this type of shade.
