  Finely hand potted beautiful pair of "Old Imari" compotes, with serpentine rims, raised on baluster stem and base with scroll feet, exceptionally well hand painted and enamelled in polychrome with gilt highlights; marked with old Royal Crown Derby red hallmark (ca. 1890-1921) and numbered "Rd. No. 345764" on the bottom. Provenance: old private collection of Mr. & Mrs. Norman & Lilian Daniels, President of H.J. Heinz Co. (1969-1971); by descent in the family to the current owner.
