Of circular form pair of armorial porcelain plates, ca. 1780, minute hand painted in polychrome and gilt highlights with attention to finest details, depicting battlement defensive wall with two towers, crossed tree trunks and crescent moon underneath (symbolising one who has been enlightened and honoured, as a knight returning from crusades), fine floral-foliate drapes garlands design and serpentine rim motif.
