• Lot Description
  The Swiss Jeweler designed the Art Deco compact case, Melchior Siegfried Arnold Ostertag (1883-1940. It is crafted in sterling silver with a bright polished reeded design. Set across the center of the case are two 18k rose gold bars centering a panel of delicate gold flowers, decorated with thirteen bezel-set round blue sapphire cabochons, and three single cut diamonds. There are two, 7mm sapphire cabochons on each side of the compact. The front, right cabochon serves as a thumbpiece. The Interior fitted with a mirror. Signed "Ostertag, Paris, France." with French hallmarks. Weight 161 grams.
