  Medium low dense silky wool lush pile on cotton foundation. Very finely hand-knotted rug. Field with central multicolor medallion with extensions and floral designs on gold background; corner guards with birds and floral design; complex borders with birds and floral serpentine motifs on multicolour background; fringe at both ends. Persian, ca. 1940's/1950's

  Good overall near antic condition, some sporadic wear in areas commensurate with age and use.
