A three inch matte brass dial, with engraved arabic numerals for all chapters, with all minute hash marks at the dial's edge on a continuous circle, bold at chapters. Blackened moon type minute/hour hands. Period Chelsea, full plate seven jewel, lever type, compensated balance, manual rear wind movement, marked "Chelsea Clocks Boston U.S.A. 445399". Hands are set by pulling out on the setting knob, and turning, located near the logo on the top plate. Slant front bronze case, emulates a monument sundial ( equatorial ). The dial is surrounded by enamel filled geometric shapes representing tiles; enamel filled rondels at the corners of the slanted face.The very narrow case top, has a enamel filled ¼" wide trough, on center along it's width. The case sides have hewn depressions, representing a hand worked surface. The smooth finished back features a snap back access cover. The case body rests on ball type feet. Marked on the bottom, "Louis C. Tiffany Furnaces Inc.", with item #360. Original winding key included.
Condition
Running at inspection, but not tested for accuracy. Much of original lacquer metal glaze remains. Various age wear sports, mostly on the case back.
