• Lot Description
  6 ½" long brass pegged cylinder, designed for eight tunes (aires) with original song list placard. Simple pull forward lever winding. Flywheel brake is actuated by a lever closest to it. The other lever starts and shuts down the three auxiliary bells. Hardwood case with hand painted faux veneer. Missing case lock key. Comb has all its teeth. Provenance: Life time collection of esteemed Professor and his Vice-Chancellor wife, Pittsburgh, PA.

  Condition

  Splits, some minor losses, and lifting to veneer on the top, scratches and scuffs. Plays, with bell hammers functioning. Strike plate will have to be adjusted, due to expansion of the wood from age; causing top not to close.
