• Lot Description
  A 3 â…›" white enamel dial with Roman numerals for all chapters of the time only clock, with all minute hash marks at the dials edge. Blued steel spade type minute/hour hands. An approximately 70 mm round japy style movement, stamped Fabrique de Paris with a makers cartouche. Case is unpatinated bronze/brass with a three dimensional figure of a French King; possibly Louis IX. The cathedral pictured in the lower case, might be a reference to him being a staunch defender of the Catholic faith. Poorly stamped Tiffany & Co on the reverse. Weighs sixteen pounds.
