18k gold open face pocket watch, lavishly decorated with coral blue enameling, putti enameled ornament en grisaille, trimmed with rose cut diamonds; rose cut diamond thumb-piece opener; overall weight 87.5 gm. Stem activated repeater mechanism, the hammer striking the side of the case, typical of early repeaters. Normally a thin metal bell is placed inside the case to realize a chime sound. This watch has two hammers designed to simply strike the case body. Resulting in a "felt" sensation, rather then a heard sound. 35 mm plates with cannon type pillars. Pierced balance cock in a scroll pattern. Tampion geared regulator. Marked "Jen LeRoi Paris #2352". White enamel dial with Roman numerals for all chapters, all minute hash marks at the dials edge, numbered in increments of five with arabic numerals. Hands are silvered pierced brass, inset with small uncut diamond crystals. Winding/setting key included. Case is of English manufacture.
Condition
Running at inspection, with repeater functioning and in phase, but not tested for accuracy. Small almost invisible flake in cobalt ring surrounding the putti.
