• Lot Description
  "Stonehenge Bridge, Plymouth, England," oil on canvas, titled, signed and dated 1839 on the reverse, framed in carved wood frame with gilt highlights, overall 25" x 21". Provenance: old private collection of Mr. Lawson Whiting, by descent in the family, Pittsburgh, PA; it was presented to current owner wife's father Mr. Raymond Humphrys by Seldon Cary (member of "Sketch Club" on Camac St. in Philadelphia) in early 1950's.

  Condition

  Good, a few very old patches and very old small inpaintings slightly visible under UV light, some wear to frame, which most likely of later replacement.
