  "Boat-Tailed Grackle" No. 4-3, Plate 220, from The Birds of America, Bien Edition, New York, circa 1858-1860. Hand-colored chromolithograph on cream paper mounted to board, printed by Julius Bien on double elephant folio sheet, matted and framed under glass, overall 39-3/4" x 31-3/4".

  Condition

  Paper trimmed and adhered to back board, some fading to image, discolorations to mat board, non-archival mounting. Frame with some losses at the corner.
