• Lot Description
  Landscape with Hunters and Dogs. Oil on canvas, signed lower right with monogram in a wood and gesso gilt frame, overall 48" x 53-1/2". Provenance: from the private collection of Mr. Steve Yates, Tequesta, FL. This painting was examined by Barbra Haeger, a professor of History of Art at Ohio State University, renowned for her scholarly work in Northern Baroque art. She expressed the opinion that the painting is by the hand of Jacob Salomonsz van Ruysdael.

  Condition

  Yellowed varnish, surface soils. Multiple areas of inpaining visible under UV light, otherwise fluorescent.
