Of rectangular shape silk panel, Qing Dynasty, hand painted in ink and pigments, depicting Ming Dynasty court beautician with a lady, in a garden grotto landscape, signed and sealed in the upper left: "The 4th lunar month of Bing Xu year (1826) / Written by Hermit Ximei (the author’s art name) Gu Luo (the author’s full name) at Wujiang (a district in present-day Suzhou city)" / Gu Luo (the author’s full name) (Note: Gu Luo (1763 - 1837) was a Qing Dynasty painter). Simulated painting of Li Sixun’s works (Note: Li Sixun was a famous Tang Dynasty painter). Double matted under glass in gilt wood frame, overall 42" x 22-1/2". Provenance: private collection, Pittsburgh, PA; acquired from former collection of Dr. Jack L. Paradise (Pittsburgh Children Hospital).
