Beautiful antique French Grand Tour pair of dark patinated bronze and ormolu urns with ormolu liner, ca. 1850; urn features an egg and dart rim, entwined vines handles and a body cast with masks, raised on a circular ormolu fluted foot and round base, attention to detail throughout this piece is second to none and this high quality bronze is made from the lost wax process 'cire perdue', depicting in relief masks, acanthus leafs, pinecones, and draped lion skins; threaded rods underneath to possibly mount on marble plinths or bases.
