A gilt bronze chariot pulled by a team of lions, rests on a heavy 30 mm thick marble base support by plinth type feet. A chariot drawn by lions in mythology, denotes regal grace and power. The putto is the artist's option. Cybele the mother of the goddesses is usually depicted with a team of lions and chariot. A white enameled circle segment, representing the fellows of a wheel, uses Roman numerals for all chapters, with all minute hash marks on a continuous circle, bold at chapters, on the edge of the dial segment. A 45 mm round full plate, cylinder escapement movement is utilized.

Condition
Good condition overall. Missing minute/hour hands. All pivots are fine. Movement will function by manipulation of the gear train. The mainspring has gone dead and must be replaced. The putto is slightly loose, but secure.
